Where the hell am I gonna put this sticker on the 944 tomorrow?? I need to put this on perfectly to get the most amount of horsepower/torque. Exactly how much does an Oppo give?
And here are some pictures from the surprisingly warm day we had yesterday.

Side window driver's side. Not the door window, the one after it
![]() 12/16/2014 at 20:53 |
|
Rear side window somewhere.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 20:53 |
|
How much hp will it give me. Should I get a second one to even it out on the other side?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 20:54 |
|
I'd say right on the rear glass on passenger side/ As close to the corner by the gas cap as possible.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 20:55 |
|
Maybe you should put it on the passenger side to distribute the weight evenly (you'll be in the driver's seat on that side, so more weight should be on the other side)
but it should still be somewhere in between the wheels, because weight balance.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 20:55 |
|
Isn't that where everyone puts it?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 20:55 |
|
where did you get that?
I would consider violating my no external stickers rule for this.

You need to find the centerline of the body right under the license plate in the rear.
Make sure it's centered, or it's going to look terrible.
Then, clean the area with a paper towel dampened with Goo-Gone. This will clean off wax or sticky residue in the area.
Follow this with glass cleaner and a lint-free towel. We want to do everything we can to ensure adhesion.
Then, you take the Oppo sticker
![]() 12/16/2014 at 20:56 |
|
Bottom part of the rear window. You'll want that extra weight over the rear wheels for better traction and low as possible to keep your center of gravity down.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 20:56 |
|
Most people put it on the back from what I've seen. There are a few who put it on the side though.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 20:56 |

The 944 Looks surprised for some reason and idk why.

Mine is on the side as well. I guess I just see more car side shots, and I just notice that more.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:01 |
|
Passenger side rear window, that way when you're passing mofos in the left lane they'll know what's up.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:01 |
|
It was given to me by another Michigan Oppo during the Dream Cruise. I think you can find them online though through one of those indy sites? Artsy, or something like that?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:01 |
|
That's what I'm thinking..
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:02 |

"no external stickers rule" I have a similar rule but it extends to the interior as well. : )

![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:09 |

Where does one get an oppo sticker
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:10 |

Oppo stickers give you an amount of HP equal to the last two digits of your VIN. /truefacts
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:15 |
|
56 horsepower!!! :D
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:15 |

Stickers are the best known way to up the power on the cheap

![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:16 |

![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:17 |

Ah yes, I remember it well. Seems to be a common spot.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:18 |

![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:19 |

![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:21 |
|
can't help you good buddy. i don't do stickers. so i dunno where to put them. zero experience...
i'm always scared that stickers will make ze police more likely to pull me over
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:24 |
|
Or you could be a non-sketchy innocent college student that loves stickers and shit.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:24 |
|
Quite respectable.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:24 |
|
How far south?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:25 |
|
Because Oppo stickers are best stickers and require best spot.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:25 |
|
STL
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:26 |
|

![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:27 |
|
If I add two though...
150hp + 56hp(2x Oppo Stickers)= 262hp!!
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:27 |
|
Ummm.... :(
Could we meet a little more north?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:28 |
|
Since the time before Innocence went away. -_-
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:34 |
|
Idk how much further do I need to go?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:36 |
|
True dat
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:37 |
|
Wait... There's STL in Missouri and Illinois? Which is the run with all the commotion recently?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:38 |
|
If you guys meet somewhere in Illinois (further North, of course) or maybe Indiana, maybe we could gather a decently sized meet with Upper Midwest Oppo?
Speaking of Upper Midwest Oppo , we accept people from Michigan as "Midwest". Feel free to stop by!!! :)
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:39 |
|
I got some special plans too
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:41 |
|
that reminds me, I need to order a new one for the mr2...
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:42 |
|
That is an excellent idea! Midwest Oppo meet would be pretty sweet in the summer. I always get mixed up on where exactly Michigan is region-wise. I always say it's in the east, but midwest makes more sense now.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:45 |
|
I've always considered anything East of Illinois to be the East because of time-zones. But if the other Midwest Oppos want to include Indiana and Michigan, I'm all for it!! :)
Perhaps we could crash a Supercar Saturdays meet or something. I don't mind a bit of a drive either if it's something nice. :D
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:49 |
|
Well, how far are you willing to go?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:53 |
|
oh rly?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:56 |
|
Ok I live in the STL Metro, I live 20 min from downtown STL
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:57 |
|
The Gran Torino can only take 3-3.5 hours ov straight driving before needing to be shut down and have it's fluids checked.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 21:59 |
|
"This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I sure do love Oppo"
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:02 |
|
Oh yes...Engine plans heheh... ;)
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:02 |
|
passenger rear quarter, right next to the SCCA, NHRA and STP stickers
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:03 |
|
Really? That is fascinating. Can you explain why? I'm genuinely curious. Hell, I haven't run Erika on a drive longer than an hour.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:03 |

![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:04 |

Metro is safer than downtown?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:04 |

Dat wonder bread sticker tho.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:05 |

I don't have any of those stickers.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:06 |

![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:19 |
|
But I've never done anything in that car, it doesn't deserve them. -_-
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:20 |
|
First off, I want to say I love those pop up headlights.
As for the Oppo sticker, maybe the rear windshield or side window. Or on top of the pop up headlight. This way you see it when you turn on the lights.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:21 |
|
Gonna paint her something exotic in mind. :)
Kinda
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:22 |
|
that would be soo cooool!!!
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:25 |
|
Because the damn thing is old as shit.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:26 |

I live next to an air force base and we have a classic car dealer in toen called gateway classic cars
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:35 |
|
Did you say, Gateway Classic Cars???
This one?
We also have one in Detroit.
But you had me at air force base.
It would be one hell of a trip for me though. 8 hours there and 8 hours back.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:38 |
|
Mhm its Scott AFB, also its the FIRST location for gateway classics

Center bottom of rear backlight.

I don't like stickers on painted surfaces.
Putting it on a side window might induce asymmetric handling. Like you said... Science and stuff...
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:47 |
|
You win, win all of the stickers. That's what I'll do! Hears to hoping for steady hands, thanks so much! :)
![]() 12/16/2014 at 22:52 |
|
OPPO stickers actually deduct 20% of your car's power and torque in order to purify the driving experience.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 23:09 |
|
How many? At least triple maybe even quadruple what a OddO will give you.
![]() 12/16/2014 at 23:35 |
|
I'd say the passenger side rear window. Seems like the best option to me.
![]() 12/17/2014 at 00:30 |
|
I'm in Terre Haute, IN (which is barely still Indiana). Might make a good meet in the middle spot? ;)
![]() 12/17/2014 at 08:09 |
|
Mine are all under-hood. (Sorry for the potato pic) Except for the old parking pass for my old High School, Lapeer West.
![]() 12/17/2014 at 08:11 |

Ha ha, cool.
![]() 12/17/2014 at 08:14 |

K-roll there is a special kind of irony if you put a Wonderbread sticker on your car...
![]() 12/17/2014 at 10:55 |

Something can be planned!!! :)

I bought an SCCA license plate frame for my car, in preparation for the day when it's a stripped, caged dedicated track/fun toy. One day...
